PR | MV Commercial Launches New Trim Levels To Cater For Changing Commercial Van Driver Tastes
Vehicle specialist MV Commercial is to put a major focus on the supply of Ford Transit Custom vans with bespoke styling, in response to a huge rise in demand for sportier-looking light commercial vehicles on the lease and rent-to-buy market.

MV Commercial is placing a major focus on supplying bespoke-styled Ford Transit Custom vans in response to rapidly growing demand for sportier-looking light commercial vehicles across the lease and rent-to-buy sectors.
The company will initially launch two new specification levels, MV Sport and MV Sport+, with vehicles available across its nationwide depots including Airdrie, Haydock and Luton.
The move reflects a significant shift in customer demand, with businesses and tradespeople increasingly seeking commercial vehicles that combine practicality with premium styling and strong road presence.
Growing Demand for Sportier Commercial Vehicles
Steven Cairns, Managing Director of MV Commercial, explained:
“Light commercial vehicle drivers’ tastes have definitely shifted up a gear, and demand for sportier-looking vans has increased dramatically. More customers are approaching us looking for vehicles that stand out on the road, and the launch of these new models is a direct response to that demand.”
Commenting further on the trend, Cairns added:
“It’s a mixture of businesses wanting to differentiate themselves from competitors, alongside tradespeople who work hard and want something a little more special to drive.”
MV Commercial says demand for the new vans is particularly strong among younger buyers who prioritise styling, aesthetics and vehicle presence alongside traditional van requirements such as payload, cargo capacity and efficiency.
Expanding Light Commercial Vehicle Operations
Although best known for supplying specialist HGVs and commercial vehicles, MV Commercial has continued expanding its light commercial vehicle division since launching its dedicated van centre in 2021.
The company believes its ability to combine Ready to Go stock, flexible commercial vehicle finance, rent-to-buy packages and full in-house vehicle livery services helps differentiate it within the increasingly competitive van market.
Businesses investing in new vans can also benefit from bespoke branding and vehicle customisation services, helping operators strengthen brand visibility while maintaining practical fleet capability.
MV Sport and MV Sport+ Specifications
The Ford Transit Custom MV Sport Edition features a wide range of styling enhancements including 18-inch alloy wheels, colour-coded handles, mirrors and trim, roof rails, a Raptor grille, bonnet and window deflectors, side skirts and front and rear spoilers.
The MV Sport+ model builds further on this specification by adding a full XTS body kit for an even more aggressive and distinctive appearance.
Both MV Sport and MV Sport+ variants are available as 3.5-tonne vans, offering the practicality needed for a wide variety of trade and commercial applications.
The load space measures 1,406 mm high, 2,554 mm long and 1,775 mm wide, making the vehicles suitable for carrying a broad range of cargo and equipment.
Power comes from Ford’s proven EcoBlue engine range, delivering improved power and torque while also offering increased fuel efficiency and lower emissions.

Alongside specialist vans and light commercial vehicles, MV Commercial supplies a wide range of Ready to Go trucks, specialist fleet solutions and bespoke vehicle builds for businesses operating across logistics, construction and specialist transport sectors.
