Think you have what it takes to be a crane operator?
MV Commercial and HTF Skills Academy gave visitors at Brands Hatch Truck Racing the chance to put themselves to the test with their Crane Challenge.
The MV Commercial Crane Challenge landed at Brands Hatch and it was a huge hit with fans! Hosted alongside the British Truck Racing Championship opener, this hands-on experience let visitors step into the operator’s seat and test their precision, control, and skill.

In this video, we take a closer look at the challenge run by MV Commercial in partnership with HTF Skills Academy designed to showcase the skills needed to operate specialist lifting equipment. Participants got hands-on with a serious bit of kit: a Volvo FH paired with a Palfinger PK62, tackling a course that demands accuracy under pressure. It’s about finesse, coordination, and working against the clock - while getting heckled by friends!

And yes… things got even more interesting when legendary BTRC commentator Pointy stepped up to take on the challenge himself.
From calling the action to becoming part of it could this be the start of a brand new career behind the controls?
Probably not.

Whether you're into truck racing, heavy machinery, or just love seeing people try something completely different, this is one you don’t want to miss.
The Crane Challenge will be back at Convoy in the Park - See you all there!
