MV Commercial Delivers High-Spec Volvo FH460 Cheesewedge with Palfinger PK65002-SH E Boom and Fruehauf Trailer to AC Services Branbury

MV Commercial is proud to announce the successful delivery of a new flagship vehicle to long-standing customer AC Services Branbury: a Volvo FH460 8x2 cheesewedge, fitted with a high-performance Palfinger PK65002-SH E Boom and supported by a three-axle drawbar trailer from Fruehauf.

This unit is the latest in a long line of crane trucks supplied by MV Commercial to AC Services Branbury, with the first being a MAN crane artic 6x2 with a PM crane back in 2007. Tom O’Rourke, CEO of MV Commercial, said:

Angela Eadie, Business Development Manager at MV Commercial, worked closely with AC Services Branbury to design and specify their new crane truck and trailer combination. Through close collaboration and clear communication, the MV team ensured the customer was kept informed at every stage, from initial proposal through to final delivery, with detailed notes, images, and progress updates. This hands-on approach allowed the teams to gain a thorough understanding of AC Services’ unique operational requirements. She added:

Built and finished at MV Commercial’s Airdrie depot before handover at our Grantham site, the new unit reflects AC Services’ continued investment in versatile, heavy-lift transport solutions. The handover was completed by Zoe Ellis, Business Development Manager, who also provided onsite familiarisation with the Palfinger PK65002 fly jib and hoist system. This unit also features a NATO spec front stabliliser system for 360-degree slew and increased capacity lift over the front of the cab.

This impressive vehicle features:

• Palfinger PK65002-SH E Boom with Jib, offering 470kg lift at 30.6 metres
• Hoist and pulley system for lifting over buildings or difficult-to-reach areas
• 360-degree slew with front stabiliser legs for full lifting performance over the front
• Cabin spec body with twist locks and pull-outs
• Rear-steer trailer compatibility for improved site access

Enhancing this setup further is a Fruehauf three-axle drawbar trailer, giving AC Services additional payload capacity and logistical flexibility.
