FTH Hire Group Accelerates Fleet Upgrade with MV Commercial

FTH Hire Group has praised MV Commercial’s bespoke vehicle livery service and rapid build turnaround after taking delivery of a refurbished DAF LF 230 and four new DAF CF 480 rigid trucks, all mounted with specialist beavertail plant truck bodies.

Delivered in less than two months, MV Commercial used its in-house manufacturing expertise to ensure the specification of each vehicle matched FTH Hire Group’s operational requirements, while also providing a fully customised livery finish to support the company’s fleet branding.

The new additions join a growing fleet of plant trucks operating across the business and will be based at FTH Hire Group depots in Airdrie, Basingstoke, Farnham, Guildford and Southampton. The company also operates additional sites in Chelmsford, Farnborough, Horsham, Maidstone and Reading.

The new 8x2 32-tonne DAF Trucks will be used to transport a wide range of plant and construction equipment, including excavators, telehandlers, forklifts and dumpers, supporting contractors across the construction and infrastructure sectors.

“The new trucks offer excellent payload capacity and really look the part; they’re ideally suited for transporting our full range of available plant and equipment,” Carr added.

“We work them hard on multi-drop journeys, doing four or five runs every day from our depots to various customer construction sites, so it’s crucially important they are reliable. MV Commercial listened to our needs and the team have gone the extra mile to ensure we got the exact vehicles we required.”
