Airdrie-based truck specialist MV Commercial has secured a place on the prestigious FEBE Growth 100 list, recognising the fastest-growing founder-led private companies in Britain.
The Growth 100 celebrates outstanding British businesses that have delivered exceptional sales, revenue and profit growth despite challenging economic conditions across the UK market.
MV Commercial was one of only nine Scottish companies to earn a place on the list, underlining the company’s continued growth and strengthening position within the UK specialist commercial vehicle sector.

Since being founded in 2001, MV Commercial has grown into one of the UK’s leading suppliers of crane artics, crane rigids, plant trucks and other specialist commercial vehicles, supported by one of the country’s largest stocks of Ready to Go units available for both sales and hire.
The company has developed a strong reputation for delivering bespoke transport solutions built around leading manufacturers including DAF Trucks, Volvo Trucks and Scania Trucks, alongside industry-leading lifting solutions from Palfinger cranes and other premium crane manufacturers.
Over the past two years, MV Commercial has experienced substantial growth, supported by strategic investment across manufacturing, facilities, vehicle stock and operational systems.
A major milestone came in 2021 when MV Commercial completed its largest acquisition to date, acquiring Fruehauf, the Grantham-based trailer and truck body manufacturer, through a multi-million-pound deal following the company entering administration.
The acquisition significantly strengthened MV Commercial’s manufacturing capability and further expanded its position within the UK specialist transport and construction logistics sectors. Today, Fruehauf trailers continue to play a major role in supporting UK haulage, aggregate transport and bulk construction operations across the country.
O'Rourke explained that strategic acquisitions, investment in facilities and systems, and a comprehensive long-term planning and purchasing strategy have been central to the company’s rapid expansion.
Those investments have enabled MV Commercial to strengthen its role in supplying specialist trucks, trailers and transport solutions to customers operating across construction, infrastructure, logistics and heavy haulage industries.
