MV COMMERCIAL IMPRESSES SHROPSHIRE AGGREGATE SPECIALIST WITH FAST DELIVERY OF TIPPERS
MV Commercial has delivered four Scania P450s with Thompson tipper bodies to MD Aggregate Supplies in record time, defying expectations of lengthy delivery times amid supply chain challenges. While other suppliers quoted a minimum of 12 months for delivery, MV Commercial promised to source the tippers in just three months, and they delivered as promised.
MV Commercial has delivered four new Scania Trucks P450s fitted with Thompson tipper bodies to MD Aggregate Supplies in record time, overcoming ongoing industry-wide supply chain challenges and significantly outperforming standard delivery expectations.
While other suppliers were quoting lead times of more than 12 months, MV Commercial committed to sourcing and delivering the specialist tipper trucks within just three months — a promise the company successfully fulfilled.
Fast Delivery for Expanding Aggregate Operations
Mike Weatherall, Transport Manager at MD Aggregate Supplies, explained that the rapid turnaround played a critical role in the company’s fleet renewal programme.
The vehicles, supplied on a full-service three-year contract hire agreement, will operate across Shropshire, Staffordshire, Cheshire and Wales, transporting materials including dust products, MOT Type 1 aggregates, muck-away and large rock loads.
Each vehicle is expected to cover approximately 80,000 kilometres annually while operating in demanding quarry and aggregate environments.
Built for Performance, Payload and Safety
The new Scania Trucks have been specified with a range of advanced operational and safety features, including PM onboard weighing systems, front and rear strobe lights, LED rear work lights and all-round recording camera systems.
Powered by the highly capable Scania 450 engine, the vehicles are designed to handle the steep and challenging terrain surrounding North Wales quarries while carrying full payloads.
Weatherall praised both the fuel efficiency and high specification of the new vehicles, adding that the drivers had responded positively to the upgraded fleet.
Supporting Long-Term Fleet Growth
The new tippers join seven other vehicles already operating within the MD Aggregate Supplies fleet, further strengthening the company’s transport capabilities across the construction and aggregate sectors.
Weatherall also confirmed that MD Aggregate Supplies plans to continue expanding its relationship with MV Commercial following the success of the latest delivery.
