W & W Mackie Enhances Fleet with Bespoke Scania 660 R V8 Artic and Highlights Long-Term Partnership with MV Commercial

Family-run haulage firm W & W Mackie Ltd, based near Alford, has added a striking new Scania 660 R V8 Artic equipped with a PK 88002 EH crane to its specialist fleet, marking the latest step in the company’s continued diversification and investment in premium equipment.

The new truck, developed and built at MV Commercial’s Grantham manufacturing facility, is the latest in a series of bespoke vehicles delivered to W & W Mackie as part of a relationship with MV Commercial that spans nearly two decades.

We’ve been working with MV Commercial since our very first lorry back in 2006,” says William Mackie Jnr. “MV has always looked after us, and our account manager Ross Wilson is available 24/7. He’s always there and genuinely goes the extra mile to make sure our trucks come out exactly how we envision. That level of support gives us real peace of mind.

The truck is built on a Scania 660 R V8 R 6x2 tag axle chassis and features a Palfinger PK 88002 EH E crane, capable of lifting 17,400kg at 4.3 metres and 4,350kg at a maximum reach of 15.5 metres. In addition to its technical capability, the vehicle is equipped with a suite of driver comfort features, including light bars, a fridge, microwave, coffee machine, and more, ensuring operator comfort during long and demanding jobs.
