MV Truck Racing is proud to announce Air Ambulances UK as its chosen charity partner, helping to raise awareness of the lifesaving work carried out by air ambulance charities across the UK.

Air Ambulances UK is the national charity championing the vital work of the UK’s 21 air ambulance charities. Collectively, these services respond to more than 50,000 missions every year, which is more than 137 lifesaving callouts every single day.

When the unthinkable happens, air ambulance crews bring the Emergency Department directly to the patient. Their aircraft and rapid response vehicles are equipped with specialist hospital-level kit, including ventilators, blood transfusion equipment and emergency surgical tools. On board are highly trained doctors, specialist paramedics and nurses, working alongside skilled pilots to deliver advanced pre-hospital care at the scene.

For MV Truck Racing, the partnership represents an opportunity to use the visibility of the British Truck Racing Championship to support a cause that makes a real difference to people and families across the country.

Kevin Myer, Marketing Manager for MV Truck Racing, said:

“We are incredibly proud to support Air Ambulances UK as our chosen charity partner. The work carried out by air ambulance crews is nothing short of lifesaving. These teams are there for people on the worst days of their lives, delivering critical care when every second matters.

“Truck racing gives us a fantastic platform to share AAUK’s great worth with fans, families, sponsors and businesses across the UK. We want to use that platform to help raise awareness of the incredible work Air Ambulances UK does and the vital role air ambulance charities play in emergency response.”

Each air ambulance charity is independent and funded almost entirely by donations. Despite not being part of the NHS, air ambulance services form a crucial part of the UK’s emergency response network, bringing urgent critical care to patients wherever they are needed.

Every helicopter mission costs, on average, £4,748, making public support essential to keeping these lifesaving services operational.

Air Ambulances UK supports the sector through national strategic partnerships, public engagement and lobbying government, helping to secure national funding and drive wider support for air ambulance charities across the UK.

Kevin added:

“Anyone, anywhere in the UK, can become a patient at any time. That message really resonates with us. Whether you are at work, travelling, attending an event or enjoying time with family, air ambulance teams are there when the unimaginable happens. We are honoured to help shine a light on their work throughout the season.”
