MV Commercial, one of the UK’s leading suppliers of specialist trucks, is proud to have supported TIP Group’s 11th “Fat Bottomed Boys & Girls” charity bike ride – “The Italian Job II” – which has already pedalled past its fundraising target for Dougie Mac and Donna Louise children’s hospice services.

The three-day ride, completed on 14-16 May, saw 55 cyclists from across the UK and Irish transport industry conquer more than 300 km through Italy’s Veneto plain, the dramatic Dolomites and the lake-studded hills of Lombardy before rolling into Bergamo. The team originally set out to raise £70,000 but has smashed that goal, with donations hitting an outstanding £108,693.

Steven Cairns, Managing Director of MV Commercial, said: “Everyone at MV Commercial is absolutely delighted to support this year’s ‘Italian Job II’. The resilience and camaraderie shown by the riders mirror the spirit we see every day in the trucking world – keeping goods, and now good causes, moving. Whether it’s a 32-tonne eight-wheeler or a 10-kg road bike, it all comes down to teamwork, endurance and the drive to go the extra mile for the communities we serve.”
